No Trespassing and Sheriff Wheeler
I agree with Sheriff Wheeler.
A vote for me is a vote for freedom!
"Last night at the monthly Bonner County Republican Central Committee meeting, Sheriff Wheeler devoted his comment period to inform us to his continued stance against the COVID-19 shutdown.
On March 2, in a letter to Governor Little, he requested he call up the full Legislature for an Emergency Meeting so it can debate reopening Idaho. As we know, the Governor did not do that and has indeed extended the shutdown.
Sheriff Wheeler stands by his request and stated that he holds the Governor directly responsible for the havoc the shutdown has wreaked on Idahoans' lives, despite the fact that there have been zero cases in some Idaho counties, only 4 cases in Bonner County, and 70 cases in Kootenai County, none of them requiring hospitalization, and there have been no deaths in all of North Idaho.
He further announced that he is not enforcing any of the Governor's shutdown order, including testing, contact tracing, social distancing, wearing of masks, opening their businesses, holding peaceful rallies, or quarantining Washingtonians who enter Idaho and which the Governor wants to quarantine for two weeks.
The State received $7 million in federal funds to hire 255 employees to do contact tracing, and he suggested that citizens opposed to participating put up a "No Trespassing" or "No Soliciting" sign on their door or gate, and if anyone ignores that sign, including government employees, to call the Sheriff's Office and they will respond to handle this violation."

In reference to the cell phone technology the Sheriff's Office is attempting to purchase from Cellebrite on a COVID grant.
From my cursory review, it appears this is to extract data/evidence off of a phone, with a search warrant, when that phone is in law-enforcement possession related to an investigation. That data could include your contacts, travel history, calls, and texts which equates to contact tracing but not in real time.
In regards to real time contact tracing, that is a different software application where you don’t lose your phone to be traced but rather it’s done through the service providers unknown to you and with or without your consent.
These are two completely separate extraction methods and uses.
This is where having experience in the profession is beneficial. You know what you’re talking about in regards to the tools that are used for investigations, versus pushing the PANIC button.

Catastrophic Failure in Local Leadership!
Proving why this election is so very important!!
We are witnessing a Catastrophic Failure in local leadership.
The Governor depends upon “just following orders” to enforce his illegal dictates.
With Constitutional Leadership the order dies for a lack of enforcement.
Sheriff’s across the state & country are refusing to be a part of these Unconstitutional dictates but sadly ours “Follows Orders” from the Governor versus the citizens he’s sworn to serve.
Vote Whitehead for a Sheriff that will Stand between you & an overreaching government.
